VP Racing Fuels recently announced an agreement whereby over the coming months company owner Steve Burns will sell his interest in the company to Alan Cerwick, former executive at Valero Energy and 19-year veteran of the petroleum industry.

It doesn't add any horsepower to an engine that can't make use of it. If you don't have at least 11:1 compression racing fuel is going to do nothing for you. Higher octane fuel does not have more horsepower. Horsepower comes from the engine.

The gasoline at a gas station ranges from 87 to 93 octane. Racing fuel ranges from 100 to 120 octane. Since racing engines operate with higher compression ratios, they need higher octane racing fuel to operate. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates regular fuel.

If you are asking about high octane unleaded racing fuel there is no impact on the car when used in a normal street car. Octane is a measure of the fuel's resistance to detonation. A normal street car does not generally suffer from detonation and would see no benefit from higher than normal octane fuel.
